Thank you very much for sharing. Word appeared to work ok and all seemed fine until I changed the default back to the networked printer…… the rest is history. Used following command: C:\ Path \ REN msvcr80.dll msvcr_ren.dll I ran CMD as an Admin I don't think that what I told you will get your problem solved. Please note that, after this, Word will have reset several options to their default settings. Googling doesn't find much, so I thought it was just me.

- Microsoft analyzed a dump file created during the word crash and they said it is probably a known problem.

Remove the Add In from Outlook Client by going to Tools -> Options -> Other Tab -> Advanced Options -> Add Ins and uncheck then remove the Plaxo application. installing 2003 will be the solution if there is not a fix available soon... It will hang every time if you do or you will sometimes even get errors. I think there are some problems with TS in R2. Login here! this page Word recreated it at next start and worked fine since then.
