Just doing this has resolved my error 80246007.   So, to summarize: 1) Once I got the error 800736CC I did the folder clean-up as was recommended by Richard in the Rename SoftwareDistribution folderUsing Windows Explorer (or double clicking on Computer) Right click on the folder  C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and select RenameRename the folder SoftwareDistribution.oldYou will get a message similar to "Destination Folder Access Show Ignored Content Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next > As Seen On Welcome to Tech Support Guy! have a peek at this web-site
