dlb, Sep 9, 2009 #1 dlb MajorGeek I forgot to mention that SP1 isn't even listed as an update when I use Windows Update or Automatic Updates. The update that has caused the problem will display a different error!! No use blaming Dell, Microsoft should pick these things up, there is no excuses!! Check This Out It reverts back to Automatic whenever i restart my laptop.

I think this is not Dell-related. It wasn't working, but that was due to a bad Software Distribution folder... Reboot your PC and manually go to Windows Update and make sure there are no other pending updates on Windows Update. Thanks for letting me know.
